Abbey Fire, Always First
When you think of an industry that’s entire focus is “Fire Safety”, you automatically think of people and saving lives. Our business is synonymous to protecting people working in all types of environments.
We have acquired a vast wealth of experience through many decades of working within the dynamic, fire industry. We fully understand the imperative nature of all aspects of fire safety and work to exacting standards to ensure the highest level of quality service to all of those that we work with. Every service that we offer MUST ALWAYS and WILL ALWAYS be performed in a professional manner because a missed point on a check list, an unnecessary oversight or a negligent mistake can, ultimately, lead to a serious fire hazard within a business.
Our customers must trust us 100% to get the job done properly, competently, professional and, importantly, to comply and meet all industry standards. We have been doing what we do best since 2002 and a great way for new (and existing) customers to have absolute trust and confidence in what we do is through our third-party accreditations.
Third-party accreditations are a tangible way in which companies can demonstrate their competence. We stringently train and measure our staff’s capabilities in line with these third-party, industry standard accreditations. We train, test and tutor our staff to become fully accredited and we continue to develop and pay for our staff to maintain and retain these accreditations.
So, what industry standard accreditations do we have I hear you ask?
We are proud to be partnered with and have accreditations with:
- BAFE
- CHAS
- FIA
- B&ES
- Safe Contractor
- British Approvals for Fire Equipment
- Altius
- Construction Line
- Isoqar ISO9001
So, who are they and what do they do?
Here’s a little bit of information about some of our accreditations and why we need them as a Stamp of Approval for our company to maintain our well-earned reputation in the fire industry.
BAFE is the independent registration body for third party certified fire protection companies across the UK. A national independent register of quality fire safety service providers. BAFE develops schemes to support quality standards for fire protection companies to achieve and become third party certified. This independently acknowledges their competency to provide specific fire protection services. If you require fire protection services for your premises then you need BAFE to be sure that the companies that provide them meet all the appropriate standards and are independently audited. BAFE is completely independent and therefore is a totally unbiased party to help competent companies and people in need of fire protection services find each other. There are registered companies across the UK and are both large nationals and smaller regional businesses who have all achieved the same high-quality standards.
CHAS is one of the founders of third party accreditation. They are not only a trusted advisor on health & safety compliance, they are an authority. They set industry benchmarks, provide assurance and reassurance, and offer best-in-class services that are easy to use and cost effective. They are professionals with a sensee of the personal. With CHAS, you come first; their people are invested in helping you work safer, more efficiently and enjoy playing a part in your success. Working together, they can improve your business, create business opportunities, drive the industry forward and make your world of work safer.
The SafeContractor scheme is a SSIP-approved health and safety assessment scheme for contractors who want to demonstrate that they’re taking responsibility for their legal health and safety requirements. This accreditation ensures your health and safety paperwork is up to date and meets legal industry requirements and gives your the SafeContractor seal of approval. With SafeContractor, you get peace of mind that you are doing all you can to demonstrate your health and safety compliance to your customers, employees and the HSE.
B&SA (Building Engineering Services Association) is the UK’s leading trade organisation for building engineering services contractors – representing the interests of firms active in the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, control and management of engineering systems and services in buildings.
FIA is the largest fire protection trade association in Europe with 700+ members. They are a not-for-profit organisation and a major provider of fire safety training. Their objective is to promote, improve and perfect fire protection methods, devices, services and apparatus. They achieve this through the representation of their members, providing technical support, guidance and opportunities for professional advancement through education and appropriate regulation. They promote and shape legislation and the professional standards of the fire industry through close liaison with government and official bodies, as well as other key stakeholders.
The Altius Accreditation scheme has been designed to give suppliers the platform needed to demonstrate assurance to new, existing and prospective clients. Altius is certificated to ISO 9001, accredited by the HSE backed Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) organisation and are proud to be members of the British Safety Council, ROSPA and the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce.
We are so proud to be accredited to, and associated with, the leading authorities and industry bodies within the fire industry. We truly love what we do and we will always stay fully up to date with changes and advancements within fire safety.
